Freelance part-time job opportunity for native speakers of SLOVENE
Street addresses aren’t accurate enough to specify precise locations, such as building entrances, and don’t exist for parks and many rural areas. This makes it hard to find places and prevents people from describing exactly where help is needed in an emergency.
what3words has given every 3m square on the planet an address of 3 random words for example, our London office is located at ///filled.count.soap. what3words addresses are more accurate than street addresses or postcodes, but easy to remember and communicate. We are currently working to launch a Slovene version of our product, so that every 3m square across the globe will have a unique what3words address in your language. The job focuses on:
1) making sure that the best, most common words in your language are used, and
2) making sure that no unsuitable words appear in the what3words addresses.
Familiarise yourself with our website and explore our map, and in your application, tell us what you think of what3words, including an example of when you think it may be useful for you. You will also be asked to upload a copy of your CV.
Requirements
No specific qualifications are required, although you must be a native speaker of Slovene, and be confident in your writing and spelling skills. It is helpful if you are passionate about language and/or technology, and you must be able to communicate confidently in English.
Benefits
Work: Freelance from home (computer and internet access needed).
Compensation amp; Duration: there will be around 3 hours of training, for which we will pay you a flat rate of 50 EUR total (or local equivalent). This can be done in your own time over maximum three weeks. If successful with the training, you will be offered further part-time work for around 3 months, around 5-10 hours a week. This further work is paid at 17 EUR per hour (or local equivalent).
